Video Resolution: The Basics
Video resolution describes the number of pixels in each frame of a video. More pixels = more detail = sharper video.

Beyond Resolution: What Else Affects Quality
Bitrate
Bitrate (measured in Mbps) determines how much data is used per second of video. Higher bitrate = more detail preserved.

A 4K video at 5 Mbps can actually look worse than 1080p at 20 Mbps. Resolution without adequate bitrate is meaningless.

30 fps — Standard (most content)
60 fps — Smooth (gaming, sports)
120 fps — Ultra-smooth (slow motion source)
